Stellera chamaejasme, of the Thymerlaeaceae family, is a perennial semi-shrub native to temperate Asia. The Mongolian names are Odoi dalan turuu, or Choniin cholbodos, while the English name is Chinese Stellera. The root and herb are both used in treating poisoning and inflammation, as well as an antibacterial and in several traditional prescriptions. Bioactives are antifungal, anti-ulcerative, and laxative.
