Primula (primrose)is a large genus of the Primulaceae family consisting of small perennial herbs that generally grow in grasslands disturbed by foraging etc. Members of this genus have been shown to be antibacterial, effective against in respiratory tract infections and hemolysis and cardio-protective. P. farinosa, like other Primula species, is becoming threatened in some locations, notably Sweden.
