Pentaphylloides fruticosa (L.) O. Schwarz is known as Bush cinquefoil in English and variously as Soogon borolzgono, Buriaguul, Borolzgonon Shuur, Shuur, Dalan khalis, or Ugaaguur in Mongolian. Synonymous scientific names include Dasiphora fruticosa, Comocarpa fruticosa, and Fragaria fruticosa. It is a member of the Rosaceae family.It is a shrub of 20-150 cm with 1.5-3 cm yellow flowers at the apex of the branches. It is native to the temperate northern hemisphere. The herb and flowers are used for treating fevers, rhinitis, lung disorders and vomiting. Bioactive compounds are antibacterial.
