Leontopodium leontopodioides (Eng.  Northern Edelweiss, Mong. Egel Tsagaanturuu, Uul ovs) is a perennial herb that grows primarily in the subartic biome in Eurasia. It belongs to the Asteraceae family. The herb is used for treating diarrhea, pain, and glandular tuberculosis, as well as for cauterization. Bioactive compounds are antidiarrheal and anticonvulsant.
